Dear valued clients,
A New Year is a new beginning and no matter how many new years have passed, each one is an opportunity to change path or start a new journey. There are more great experiences to share and memories to make that will stay with us forever! Let’s make them unforgettable with Access Sydney! We look forward to seeing all of you in 2025!
Australia Day is on 26 January and whilst there are many celebrations around Sydney, I would like to draw your attention to the WugulOra Morning Ceremony in Barangaroo Reserve. WugulOra means “One mob” and the ceremony calls for special reflections on the day. It symbolises how we should embrace each other and be united in the spirit of inclusion, understanding and reconciliation.
This year, the Lunar New Year falls on January 29th. This is an important festival observed in many Asian cultures. To celebrate, we have organised a “Sydney Lunar Festival” outing for you in early February.
On the Aged Care front, the new Aged Care Bill which was passed by Parliament at the end of last year will start from 1 July 2025. This will bring about a wide range of changes to services for older Australians. I will continue to keep you informed of the changes and any impact they have throughout the year.
Based on your feedback from last year, we have made improvements to our outings program and other services to offer you experiences that are even more exciting, convenient, and safe for everyone. NOTE – Australia Day falls on Sunday 26 January and the public holiday is observed on Monday, 27 January. Access Sydney will be closed on Monday 27th and only essential services will be provided. For all enquiries, please call us on 8241 8000.
