What We Do

Access Sydney is a not-for-profit community organisation that offers accessible and affordable transport and social connection for older people, people with disability and people who are transport disadvantaged.

Our experienced service history

Access Sydney has a proud history of supporting the community for more than 30 years across 9 Local Government Areas. Access Sydney’s services are an integral part of the national aged care and disability systems, accessible by clients through the My Aged Care (MAC) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) referral processes.

Our Mission

We support the frail aged, and people with disabilities or with health issues to access and participate in community life through:

  • Direct Delivery of a range of transport and mobility options
  • Collaborations with like-minded organisations and groups to develop improved transport options
  • Advocating for accessible public and community facilities

Funding

Access Sydney’s current funding sources are from the Department of Health and Aged Care, Transport for NSW, NSW Health and City of Sydney.
