Hello and welcome to our November Newsletter!
I hope you’ve been staying safe and dry through the recent wild weather.
There is a lot happening this month at Access Sydney. The new Aged Care Act starts on 1 November, and we have been working hard to prepare. The Act is designed to protect your rights and make sure you receive safe, quality care. If you would like help understanding the new aged care changes, Concord Library is running free information sessions every Wednesday morning in November. There is also a Cost-of-Living Help Hub in Homebush on 10 November, where you can bring your bills and get advice on government rebates and support. And on 13 November, Services Australia is hosting a free online talk about things you need to think about if you plan to travel in retirement. These events provide a great opportunity to ask questions and seek advice.
This month we are also reviewing our client fees and will keep you updated, with the changes expected to be implemented in March 2026.
We recently released our Summer Outings calendar, and it’s filled with so many wonderful activities to get out and about or simply relax and enjoy a coffee with friends. Our outings fill up quickly, so please book early!
Note: Access Sydney Client Fees review We are currently reviewing our fees to ensure that we can keep providing great services while continuing to meet the cost of running our services and keeping client fee increases to a minimum. The last increase to fees occurred in February 2024 and our new fee schedule will apply from March 2026. We will keep you informed about the review and share further details in early 2026.
